If you need to hear this because you heard the beat was tight, just find the instrumental. Why is this in the top songs of Billboard? Probably because it is mind-numbingly stupid, and apparently today’s young people absolutely don’t want to think…just dance. Even though most of rap today is incredibly bad content-wise, they nonetheless have inventive wordplay. These guys could not stand with any of the best in the game with these lazy lyrics. It’s just nonsensical, talking about rocking them beats and braggadocios claims, all while making such a mediocre song. “When when I step inside the room them girls go ape s***, uh Lead single Boom Boom Pow draws on the electro-house of the moment, and it connects. I mean, even Eminem and the like spit more mind-bending verses with intelligent wordplay than these clowns. The Black Eyed Peas recorded it with a bunch of dance producers, but will.i.am was the main driving force. Second, the lyrics are sophomoric, in other words they are lacking in intelligent substance. Why is this so popular?! Futuristic is one thing but I wanna hear an outstanding vocalist jump in and out of both, not a sucky singer covering their flaws by feigning creativity in using the autotune over their voice. It was written by group members will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie, being produced by will.i.am. First, there is far too happy an obsession with the usage of the autotune. ' Boom Boom Pow ' is a song recorded by American group the Black Eyed Peas for their fifth studio album The E.N.D. To me, however, there appears to be too much wrong with the song as a whole. So, on a soundscape basis this is very current and worth the listen. and new Kanye and some old 808 eighties hip hop. Hmm, well it is certainly a catchy beat a cross between M.I.A.
